By volunteering, you are joining a national network of alumni committed to giving back to schools across the UK. If you haven’t signed up, join the network now.

We know you’re keen to share your skills, experiences and advice with young people.

Send a message of hope

Show young people a future that can be theirs. Join our campaign and inspire young people by sharing a video or message on Instagram and Twitter about your journey from state school to where you are now. Tag us in your posts using #IWentToStateSchool #StateSchoolHero

Are you from Lincolnshire?

We are working with South Holland District Council to bring alumni to local learners and are looking for role models to share posters, videos and spread the word about the power of our networks. Contact harry.pritchard@futurefirst.org.uk to find out how to get involved.

Did you go to school in Cumbria?

We are looking for people who attended state school in Cumbria to share posters, videos and spread the word about the power of alumni networks. Contact alexandra.kiami@futurefirst.org.uk to find out how to get involved.

Submit a profile

Profiles are a great way to show students how you went from the same seats as them to your current role. Share your journey with young people by telling them about your education, career path and how you made it to where you are today. Find out more and submit your profile here.

Complete a video profile

Alumni videos are an invaluable tool to help students see first-hand what former students have been doing since leaving school. Sign up as a volunteer to submit your video. You can do this quickly and easily with your phone, read our guidance to find out how.

Become a mentor

We regularly recruit volunteers to take part in online mentoring with young people across the UK. Sign up as a volunteer and register your interest.

Share with your friends

If you know anyone who might like to join our national network of alumni and be a part of your school’s future alumni network, encourage them to sign up. Or tell people you've signed up as a volunteer, share some advice for young people or keep up to date with all things Future First on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.

Contact your old school

Show your old school that you are ready to volunteer and give back. Share this letter with your old school to help spread the work about Future First and the power of alumni networks.

Ask your employer to get involved

Could your employer support Future First to continue our work with access to office space, expertise or staff support? Contact charlie.ledley@futurefirst.org.uk to find out how to get involved.
